It’s All In The Light
One benefit of being in the great outdoors is being exposed to some much-needed vitamin D, as well as some fresh air. Natural light contributes to better sleep and helps to uplift your mood. Unfortunately, it’s not always possible to be exposed to natural light. Therefore, the perfect way to replicate this is by having sufficient lighting in each room.
Incorporate an elegant shade such as one from our glass range, which helps create a soft glow that replicates that of natural lighting. Pair with a dimmable lighting switch, which allows you to adjust the settings throughout the day, and you’ll reap the benefits in no time!

Go Green
Helping to circulate air, uplift moods instantly and absorb toxins, the easiest way to incorporate a touch of nature in your interior is by integrating plants. When it comes to greenery, you shouldn’t overcrowd your space, but rather think strategically. Analyse the space and identify the weakest areas, and place plants here.
Retro pendant lighting looks perfect paired with greenery, highlighting areas in which have a touch of nature. Our simplistic, yet beautiful pendant when combined with the exposed pots and pans with the hanging plant, brightens up this kitchen décor!

Go Into The Dark
Although the great outdoors tend to have lighter colours, there is no harm in incorporating darker tones into your interior to still achieve the biophilic design. Dark interiors are incredibly popular, especially in the kitchen and bathroom. Therefore, combining two popular interior trends can create a mesmerising décor!
To contrast beautifully with the darker tones, incorporate brass or copper accessories. The combination of copper wall lights placed either side of a circular mirror, like the interior below, creates interest. Add in some plants, and you’ve got a biophilic bathroom of dreams!

Put The Spotlight On The Ceiling
Don’t forget the fifth wall, the ceiling! Statement ceilings are becoming increasingly popular. It’s a place we’re used to forgetting, but gives us even more space to put our unique spin on our décor. Either introduce some hanging ivy, patterned tiles or statement pendants to make use of the fifth wall!
Fever-Tree have made use of their office ceiling, utilising both hanging plants and statement pendants to create the perfect atmosphere for employees. Lighting is key in offices as it helps to increase productivity, and what better way than to add some beautiful industrial lights?!

If you don’t have sufficient space in your interior to fill it with luscious plants, the ideal alternative is to add art. Art allows us to express our personality, while in turn, helping to transform our mood. The concept of biophilia is to improve your well-being, and the perfect way to do this is to surround yourself with things that you love! Invest in art that inspires you and give your mood a boost!
