Lights, camera, action! Our lights have been in the spotlight more than once this year. We’ve seen them in nail-biting dramas, award-winning soaps, life-changing renovation shows and in the last series of one of the best UK reality shows! They’ve been placed in various interiors; from the prison scene in Paddington 2 to the iconic Big Brother house, they’ve proven how versatile they are. If you want to create an interior worthy of the big screen, read on to learn how you can incorporate vintage industrial lighting in any room of your house or business.
Big Brother
And the person being evicted is… not our lights, that’s for sure! Our lights have featured in the last ever series of Big Brother, after a whopping 45 series, the long-running reality TV show is airing its final series. We had to get in on the action and have been there to witness all of the drama. This year the interior has gone for an Insta-worthy décor, screaming personality rather than following previous years, which have focused on contemporary finishes. This year they’ve gone all out, embracing tropical prints, clashing colours and eccentric patterns. Industrial lights are the perfect way to add a touch of retro to this modernised interior; it’s all about making a statement and leaving the interior ingrained on the viewers’ minds.

Strictly Come Dancing
There’s nothing better to do on a Saturday night during the colder months than tuning into Strictly Come Dancing. We look forward to seeing what the dancers will wear each week, which dance they’ll try their hands at and the incredible judge one-liners! Just as the dancers light up the stage, our lights have the ability to light up any room; we were featured on Strictly, did you spot us? It’s a ten from us!
Love Your Home & Garden
Tackling some of the toughest homes and gardens, professional gardener and presenter, Alan Titchmarsh, has forefronted the original ITV show Love Your Garden since 2011 which has branched out in 2018. Transforming home interiors and outdoor spaces for people who truly deserve a refresh.
There’s nothing we love more than a splash of colour in our interior, known as the new it colour; the Gen-Z yellow adds an instant uplift to this small room. When combined with the mysterious forest painted mural on the wall, the industrial lights are perfect finishing touch, creating a space that is simplistic yet effective.

BBC2’s Million Pound Menu

Each concept was given a pop-up restaurant that seats up to 40 diners, in the centre of Manchester, in which they attempt to win the heart of the paying public with their food and the banks of investors with new ideas that have a potential for growth.

Dark interior contrasting against warmer toned metals, such as brass, is very on trend. Instead of opting for darker furnishings, the designers opted for lighter coloured furniture to open up the space, while filling the walls with artwork and ornaments to make a statement. If you are leaning towards dark walls, add lighter coloured furnishings to ensure you don’t create the illusion of a smaller space, whether this is in your home or your business.
We were incredibly happy that our lights were chosen for both of the pop-up restaurants, the biggest requirement of our lights was versatility, the pop-ups ranged from Cuban cuisine to East Asia food to English delights, the décor needed to accommodate and complement any style of design.
Hairy Bikers
The two lovable Hairy Bikers have had a number of best-selling cookbooks and TV shows shown on BBC2. They’ve travelled the world to rustle up some culinary delights, from Russian blinis to Mediterranean paellas and great British pies; they’re a firm British favourite. The kitchen is where the magic happens, and our lights were lucky enough to light up one of their kitchens, overlooking the delights they were creating.
The British public spends an average of six hours a week cooking up a storm in the kitchen; you want to make sure you have the right amount of light in order to create the perfect atmosphere and to enhance your cooking experience.
