Hallway reveal part two - the details ✨ a post for the zoomers and the swipers!
From dark and dreary to bright and welcoming, I was lucky enough to work with some incredible brands on our hallway transformation and I couldn’t be happier with how this labour of love turned out! From changing the floors, stripping the bannisters, panelling and painting, it was definitely our hardest project to date
When we moved in the hallway felt very small and uninviting and we knew that it would be a challenge to brighten it up given its narrowness. But with a big old mirror to bounce the light and the right paint choices the space almost feels twice the size - well almost 😝

Heres a little cheeky after and before ?? swipe across for the before, of a gorgeous Hall, Stairs and Landing Renovation completed a few months ago (Ive been meaning to post for ages ??) My clients wanted an edgy, industrial vibe, with a monochromatic colour palette. I brought in a pop of fun pattern and detail, using a mindtgap wallpaper and replaced the doors at the end with Crittall style mirror door panels, which reflect the light beautifully and really open up the space! ????

It’s been a long old road from the laminate flooring, artex and just all round waste of a space hallway, but I’d like to think after we’ve stripped, wired, plumbed, plastered, panelled and painted, we’ve restored some glory this old girl deserves.

It’s the weekend which means Mr M is working on the outsides but I can’t do much to help him at this stage, besides keeping him supplied with tea ☕️ and food! 🥪
Meanwhile, here’s a shot of one side of the Sitting /Bar area. We partitioned this area off from the Dining area by making a frame using MDF strips which I then painted. Swipe ⏩ to see. It’s a really inexpensive way to zone an area and meant I could do something entirely different with this wall. Plus, it’s the perfect backdrop for displaying my gold lobster - I mean, who doesn’t need a gold lobster in their life? 😆
