i don’t think i’ve shared any pictures of this room yet, it’s a small space and really hard to photograph as there is no natural daylight in here.
we demolished the old downstairs bathroom which was at the other side of the house and built this along with a utility opposite, in the old kitchen site.
it’s only small but it does the job!
i love the wallpaper in here (kindly done by my mum) and the colour tones are very calming. we’ve added some tongue and groove panelling.
the stone floor runs through from the kitchen and hallway, i opted for a small burlington freestanding vanity unit just so we had some storage in here.
just a couple of finishing touches to do in here and then that’s another room ticked off🙌🏼

you really cant beat the quality of truly bespoke, solid oak furniture. its timeless, built to last and can be sanded down and painted time and time again ??
a little insight into mrs hogbins wardrobe nearly 5 years ago now when we first installed them. we designed them to fit the space in our bedroom exactly, and commissioned a local bespoke joinery shop to handmake them for us. they were spray painted and then hand-finished, so the paint is really hard wearing.
matching bedside tables were handmade by us and painted the same to match, and we finished the room off with vertical wall panelling and picture rail.
the only thing you have to consider when commissioning bespoke, solid furniture is how heavy and large it can be. it took 4 men to get these up our stairs and into the bedroom ready for install ?? so worth it though!

at the end of june this year, we started digging to extend our house. the plan was to go out to the edge of the boundary, connect to what was my office, and turn the new space into a new kitchen.
we then extended further onto what was our old garage, which is now our utility room, and will be our downstairs loo.
our old kitchen, is going to be my office, whenever i get round to it...
there are so many people to thank, some i have on socials, some i don’t—so to keep it sweet, if you’re looking at the pictures and can say “i did that”, we are so grateful for your time.
i think we can safely say, this is our forever home.
still need to join the worktops on the peninsular, cut the sink out, fit the tap and top oil the worktops—but yeah, so relieved it’s almost, almost done.
